Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine
  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 0.5 pound shrimp, peeled and thawed
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional Garnishes

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons extra grated parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and place in a mixing bowl with shrimp. Season with garlic powder and half of the Cajun seasoning. Mix to coat well.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5 minutes. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 more minutes until done. Remove from skillet.
  • Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in cream, add cream cheese, and stir until smooth. Add remaining Cajun seasoning and parmesan. Stir until sauce thickens.
  • Meanwhile, cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain. Add pasta, chicken, and shrimp into the sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm with optional garnishes.
