- 1 loaf brioche bread
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 0.5 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 0.5 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 pinch salt
Topping
- 0.25 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons cold butter cubed

Cut the brioche loaf into 1-inch cubes and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread them out evenly.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread cubes. Gently press down to help the bread absorb the liquid. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix the topping ingredients in a small bowl: brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cubed butter. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to make a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle evenly over the soaked casserole. Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes or until golden and set.
